How to get to Casa Gracia

1. How do I get from the airport to Casa Gracia?

A taxi ride from the airport takes about 25-30 minutes (depending on the traffic)

and the price is around €30-35. Please contact our concierge to require us to

* By train:

There are signs inside the terminal towards the train platform. Buy a T10 ticket.

(That gives you 10 journeys on all subways, buses and trams in Barcelona).

From the airport there is only one train leaving towards the city, so you can't

miss it. Get off at Passeig de Gracia station. You can either come out of the

station and walk 4 blocks up to Passeig de Gracia 116, or switch from the train

to the metro Line 3/green line, and get off at the next stop, Diagonal. We're

located 2 minutes away from Diagonal metro stop. Come out, cross Diagonal

Avenue and we're at Passeig de Gracia 116.

*By Bus:

The Aerobus leaves directly from outside the terminal (signs in the terminal

building) and it costs 5.90 € one-way or 10.20 € return ticket. Get off at

Plaça Catalunya. Take the subway Line 3/green line from Plaça Catalunya to

Diagonal. We're located 2 minutes away from Diagonal subway stop. Come

out, cross Diagonal Avenue and we're at Passeig de Gracia 116, your Casa away

from home!

*From Girona or Reus airports:

Take the bus to Estació del Nord. There, just take the subway from Arc de

Triomf Line 1/red line to Plaça Catalunya. At Plaça Catalunya change to Line

3/green line to Diagonal. We're located 2 minutes away from Diagonal subway

stop. Come out, cross Diagonal Avenue and we're at Passeig de Gracia 116.

* From the port of Barcelona:

From the port, take the corresponding bus and get off at Columbus monument.

Walt to Drassanes subway stop and take the L3/ green line to Diagonal. Come

out, cross Diagonal Avenue and we're at Passeig de Gracia 116, your Casa away from home!

 

 
Before making your booking

1. Can I pay for my reservation in full, in advance?

Yes, you can. Once you made your reservation, contact our Reservations

(Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro or by bank

transfer (you will be provided with the bank account details). It´s that easy.

2. How do I make a booking via your web site?

You can make a booking directly on our home page. Simply click here.

3. Where are you located?

Our Casa is located in the heart of Barcelona, in one of the most authentic

Catalan neighborhoods, Gracia. We´re situated on Passeig de Gracia 116.

Hop on the metro at Passeig de Gracia. Or we are within one block for a 5

minutes ride to the city centre. Many other public transportation links and the

touristic bus routes are almost at our doorstep! Take a walk in charming Gracia

neighborhood for a unique, local experience.

4. Are families welcome?

Yes, we are family friendly. There are large rooms private rooms available (up

to 6 people) and in the common area there are games available, a chill out, a library,

a fully equipped kitchen and a terrace to enjoy your homemade lunch with your family.

5. I am travelling with friends - can we do a separate check in?

Yes, of course. Just mention this at check in from 14hr.

6. What are the payment methods?

You can pay in cash or by card, with VISA, VISA ELECTRON,

MASTERCARD, MAESTRO and AMERICAN EXPRESS.

7. Do you have weekly rates?

We only have daily rates, however if you are planning to stay more than 7 nights,

8. Is there a limit on how long I can stay?

No, you can stay with us as long as you want since we are your Casa away from home.

9. Who can stay in our hostel?

Everyone! We are the Casa away from home for people from all over the world!

We are all for diversity, so we welcome people of all ages, race, religion, belief,

music preferences, height, cooking and story telling skills.

*Minors do need to be accompanied by a guardian/tutor.

10. Are the private room prices per person or per room?

The prices are per person, not per room. The total price of the room is the

number of beds in the room multiplied by the price displayed on the web.

11. Do you make student discounts?

No, we do not make discounts for students.

12. Is there any booking fee?

No, there is no booking fee when making a reservation directly on our website.

13. Can I bring children?

Yes, our Casa is family friendly. There are large rooms private rooms available

(up to 6 people) and in the common area we have games available for you,

a chill out, a library, a fully equipped kitchen and a terrace to enjoy your

homemade lunch with your family.

14. Can I get a top or bottom bunk ahead of time?

We only have bunk beds in our dorms. Should you prefer a top or bottom bunk

bed, you can write a comment when making the reservation and we will do our

best to assign a bed of your choice.

15. If my friends and I made a booking for beds in Casa Gracia, can we all be

allocated in the same room?

When making the reservation, please add this comment and we will do our best

to accommodate you. However, please consider that in high season it may be

quite challenging to assign all your friends beds in the same dorm.

Of course, for private room bookings, by definition, you and your friends will

have a private room for just yourselves.

16. Are you pet friendly?

At this moment, our Casa does not welcome pets. We know you will miss them,

but do enjoy your stay.

17. Do your prices include taxes?

Our prices include VAT. There is a touristic tax applied upon arrival – €0.72 per

person per night.

18. Is there a curfew?

No, there is no curfew in our Casa. You can get in and our whenever you please;

our reception service is 24hr, so we´ll be ready to buzz you in at any time.

19. Do your prices include breakfast?

Yes, breakfast is included for every type of room. There is coffee, tea, juice to

go with the homemade sponge cake. You´ll have cheese, ham, fruit and cereals,

milk and yogurt, jam… It will feel like home!

20. Can I bring visitors into the hostel?

Yes, your friends are our friends, they are welcome to spend time with you in

the common areas, enjoy the dinners, concerts, expositions and campaigns. If

they want to spend the night over, they would have to check in and pay the extra

charge.

21. Can I have an early check in?

Check in opens at 2 PM. Should you arrive earlier, if your room has already

been cleaned and is ready to be used, we will be happy to check you in.

Otherwise, we can store your luggage while you take a walk in the city.

22. Can I have a late check out?

Check out is 10 AM. Upon request, you can do a late check out for the extra

charge of €10 per hour.

23. Can I mail something to your hostel before my arrival or during my stay?

Yes, you can use our address to mail things, however bear in mind that Casa

Gracia cannot pay for any of the shipping costs– you can make sure to pay them

in advance and you are all set.

24. What time is check out?

Check out is 10 AM. However, if you want to sleep in, you can have a late

check out for an extra charge of €10 per hour.

25. What time is check in?

You can check in anytime after 2 PM. Should you arrive in town earlier, stop by

Casa and we will store your luggage until check in is open.

26. Is your hostel secure and safe?

Yes, we make sure our Casa is always safe and secure. Our front door is always

closed, but you can ring the bell and we will buzz you in instantly. There are

cameras in all common areas and the hallways and our reception desk is open 24/7.
